Dahlia Contest Expected to be Huge
Many people think summer ends when school begins, but dahlia growers don’t put away their gardening shears until the first frost.
And right now, many are competitively prepping for the 2017 National Dahlia Show, which will take place September 9 and 10 at the Chicago Botanic Garden with approximately 2,000 dahlias from around the U.S. competing for Best in Show. The event takes place noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. There is no additional cost to enter the exhibit. To read more visit:
